Agreed, and Cybertruck for the win. All the benefit of a pickup, with a big back seat and enclosed storage - with a multitude of power sourcing options (including just parked in sun, if the solar cover becomes a thing).

If that’s my goal, I’ll have a Soylent drink or GreenBelly bar. https://Soylent.com https://GreenBelly.co I’ll eat a $18 hamburger because it tastes really good - yes, about 18x better than a $1 burger.

That’s the curious bit: power generated per flat panel-rental fee is decreasing. Rental cost is consistent.

Not convinced. I’m using utility solar for about 20% of my electricity needs, precisely to experience what’s claimed. Average cost is 50% above regular sourcing, and rising significantly. https://twitter.com/ctdonath/st

That thing is the natural continuation of 1960’s-era oscilloscopes. Those steeped in the industry find it familiar. A bit puzzling that you criticize all from ancient knob proliferation to a single large flat screen. Only alternative is sma

Yes, it is not. Every nation has reason to limit immigration for assorted reason - not to be confused with being “anti immigration”. Disease, crime, and simple assimilation capacity limits how many we can/should take in.

I meant what I wrote. Sure you get 100W/m^2 when the sun is shining perpendicular to the surface, but divide by night, clouds, angles, dust/snow, latitude, air transmissiviness, line/battery/conversion loss, etc and you’

All factors considered, solar panels average 10-20 watts/m^2. A Tesla uses ~325Wh/mile, Leaf ~250, Cybertruck ~500. Putting PV panels on a vehicle can give you a few miles per day - enough to get you to a plug if battery drains to

Stop misrepresenting the point. Careful what you conflate. We do not have a "climate of anti-immigration". The issue is ILLEGAL immigration. Musk is a legal immigrant. Trump's wife is a legal immigrant. My wife is a legal

I picked 500Wh/mi because Cybertruck will likely be first to use the new batteries, and will require more power than the cars/SUVs.

Math. Once you account for night, impingement angle, weather, atmospheric absorption, panel efficiency, dirt, seasons, storage efficiency, etc it averages out around 13W/m^2 long term. Experience. I run my “office” all summer on solar.
