They are a v2 of the MacBook keyboards, and I believe they said that the v2 has more travel compared to the v1. That's what the OP is saying. Not sure how that v2 would compare to the current MacBook Pro keyboards.

Mathematical notation is almost always 1 based. Let $v = 1 \dots n$, that sort of thing. So I find translating mathematics into code (which I seem to do quite frequently) much easier with 1 based indexing. (One exception being if you have
