The downside is that you'll need to install it into your IDE. And again when you upgrade it. I guess the version needs to loosely match the one your projects use too. That might not sound like a lot but some colleagues hate that overhe

Yeah - I'm a Brit, I read it as a shorthand for continental Europe. Just a shorthand way of differentiating a team of Brits from a team of other Europeans (and Canada).

Likewise, I've a late 2013, i7 with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. Things have moved on, it's been 5 years, but not that much. And my MBP still works. I only intended on having it for 2-3 years before upgrading - it's paid for by

I'm from the UK, but lived in Saudi for a bit and we'd often shop at a local American base where I was introduced to the individually wrapped plastic orange cheese. I bought a pack of 10 slices out of nostalgia this summer to go o

I've only had a quick look. I really like the idea of the site, almost desperately so. But the lists of top things to work on that I found seemed a bit disappointing. AI safety policy made the top of one list. My undergrad AI lecturer

This is presumably a response to the increase in encryption post-Snowden. In which case, it's a good thing from one angle at least - it suggests that moves to encrypt everywhere are frustrating bulk intercept.

I felt the same to a large extent. But still played it because moving on to the next game was what everyone else I'd played with did. I think Medal of Honor: Allied Assault came out in a similar period and I ended up playing that for l

Just 15 years here. I've worked at somewhere where they did put a lot of emphasis on UML diagrams. To the point they had a product where some of the code was generated from UML, not once moving from the initial design to code, but repe

The number of them's fine, it's probably even desirable not to limit it too much and find the suggestions stuck in a local minima. It's the relevance; listing adjectives as alternatives to a noun.

I'm worried they won't transition MacBooks to these CPUs, but they'll just let the entire Mac lineup gradually fade to black with intermittent refresh cycles and dead end features like touch bar. I can well imagine Apple expe
