Sorry to hear that… I hope it continues to recover for you. Mine is okay for the most part I think, I have never had a complex palate though so the taste of food is something I haven’t historically valued outside of “this is edible, and thi

Interesting that they classify loss of smell as a neurological symptom. I had Covid last January and my sense of smell has never been the same. I used to be able to walk into a room, flair my nostrils, and pick up everything from the couch,

I remember wanting one of these so badly when they were announced, they were marketing the hell out of them at the time. It’s a shame they were not more popular, could have been fun bringing them to school and interacting with students sim

Started a blog some time ago with AWS Lightsail... was like 5 USD a month and all you had to take care of (after initial setup) was security updates and cert renewal. Your point is well taken, but I think there are relatively cheap and low

Palo Alto has a quick and easy site to recategorize URL and was thinking the same would exist for SOPHOS but... nope. Support forms tell you to put in a feature request - what a joke.

OP was making the point that we shouldn't take our rights in the West for granted, because there are people in the world who have it demonstrably worse. Not every statement needs to account for all variables.

Highly recommend looking into the author... was about to order the book but saw a lot of stuff I didn't like: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruno_Bettelheim

Really enjoyed this essay, the parallels between the flâneur of old and modern lurkers is a brilliant connection. Really makes me question how much time I should be spending on twitter and reddit.

Posts like this really make me miss my old Pebble. Maybe its incredibly niche, but they left a gap in the market that no other offering has yet to fill.

I hesitate to since what you care about in the news is highly personal, as is your preferred tone. What works for me though is WSJ, NYT, Bloomberg, and The Economist.

If you are in the US, the WSJ has something called the "The 10-Point" which is a curated list of the top news stories for the day, delivered via email around 8am ET every weekday. I subscribed to it a couple years ago on a whim, a

I agree for C. It's simple, it's fast, it's portable, and it's a fantastic gateway into ASM. To your point, I believe learning it is an important part of foundational computer science - and for that reason I don't

It's definitely a subpar experience, but for the first time it feels usable. Each screen is about the equivalent of a 55" 1080p monitor 5ft from your face.

I loved everything about the Pocket C.H.I.P - but that keyboard made the entire concept unusable. I am hoping (perhaps foolishly), this keyboard will be marginally better... but we will see :)

I envy your metabolism. I work out a lot as well, but have to skip breakfast each day or risk taking in too many calories. May just be a function of my age - in my mid 30s now.
