Technically Romney didn't win independents. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-250_162-57547239/adviser-romney-... Over the past 3 years the GOP voters switched their identification to independent while their beliefs stayed the same. This shift

In Aug 2011, Google banned quite a bit of Google+ accounts for using fake names and nicknames. Does Google still do this?

Yup. It's odd that WW2 is closer to the moon landings than we are today.

Does anyone else use either of these methods?: 1. Use memcached or asp.net cache to detect if a high number of login attempts are happening, if so, implement a 1 to 2 second sleep on each login attempt for 15 minutes (with some additional p

100F in a non-dry climate is very hot as it feels like 110F. Heat sickness is a very real concern, along with food spoilage and pets. Additionally, sick people without access to A/C in 100F weather can become even more sick very quickly.

Interesting, those colors are pretty similar to my custom VS2010 theme: http://i.imgur.com/bLOxQ.png Although in VS2010 as far as I know you can't change the colors of the explorer menus and such, but it appears in those new screenshots t

The whole point of faking interest was to figure out who they were, so he could sue them for the first violation and any other violation that occurred after placement on the DNC list.

The main thing Buffet was trying to do was to raise the capital gains tax rate, which is only 15% right now. It would save quite a bit if it was raised back to 25%.

Good point, and that $800 million was prorated over 4 years whereas NASA gets $18 billion annually.

There's not many facts or statistics in this article, more of an anecdote. I highly suspect it's more of a "we're mad because we can't sell houses for insane prices like we could in 2007 so we're going to paint ourselves as the victim."

"You are only locked into FPS if that's only what you're capable of making." It seems clear to me that I implied that being only capable of making an FPS means you are locked into making an FPS.

Why should any credence be given to Moody's when they were the same group of people who were rating subprime mortgages as AAA. In my mind, they lost their credibility as a ratings agency.

This is incorrect. Whether it's the UDK engine or Cry Engine, you can do some amazing things with them if you have the capability. You are only locked into FPS if that's only what you're capable of making.

I think this theory points out some good things but you're still going to need a good work ethic to do anything. People who've made a 2.0 their entire life might not have the greatest work ethic compared to 4.0ers.
