I think it just boils down to we all have subtle differences in how we use products so while some features are a revelation to one person, they are pointless to another (always on Siri on the AirPods or wireless charging on the AirPods is p

A German court held that IP addresses can be considered personal data for non ISPs. Check Patrick Breyer v. Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Literally a website just logging IP addresses of visitors. You’re making it sound incredibly cut and dry

I think that’s a legitimate approach. Though I personally think all substances should be decriminalized (rather than legalized) as in the case of things like heroin addiction the addicts fear of punishment and the stigma keeps people from s

I think you’re making some quite wild assumptions about motivation and impact of the use of various substances. If you looked at those that literally are making those profound advancements you’re worried about losing, you’d also often be lo

Definitely build it completely from scratch. You should roll your own TCP libraries as well. Don't trust anything you didn't write yourself. Come to think of it, I'm not sure you should rely on someone else's hardware ei

Redis for us almost operates as a set of application servers. We push a great deal of logic into Lua that we compile so that tons of back and forth operations aren't necessary. This also limits the data sent back to the API servers sin

We are using the host networking for the services currently on Docker. Load balancer and primary API endpoints are all running outside of Docker so there isn't a huge networking load for us with Docker.

ZeroMQ doesn't solve the problem. ZeroMQ is flexible enough that we can build a solution. We're working on distributed routing and registration using ZeroMQ and Redis as it's data store. The RPC servers register the tags and

Yes we do see this as becoming a bottleneck. We are already working on a solution for that. I mention in the "What's Next" section about a bit more advanced routing using ZeroMQ instead of Redis. The problem is a difficult on
