IMO the bar should be much higher for solo founders. If you have 2 people, then it's twice as many resources to check all the various boxes you need (sales, design, technical, etc) - otherwise the solo person has to credibly be an am

Interesting theory, I think there's something to it. There's probably some selection bias going on with the religious homes thing. Like the hidden variable that both religious adherence AND discipline/work ethic are caused by

Great article Aaron! This is such an interesting part of fundraising, since while every founder has "seed round" stories, only a subset have Series A stories. And even then, it's a further subset of founders who have had mul

In my experience, technical people latently believe the thing that people buy from you is a product. So if the product isn't done / ready / etc, then you are being misleading trying to "sell" them or engage with the

Notice that most of the comments here are describing post-hoc how having children has been fulfilling/great/worth it. Which isn't really the question - it's not asking if having children was a good move in retrospect

You probably already know this, but in case other readers don't, the depth of color on keto sticks is NOT a measure of "how deeply in ketosis" you are. The depth of color indicates how concentrated ketones are in your urine,

Respectfully, I think you and others in this thread defining "Kin" too narrowly by thinking of it exclusively a premium virtual token for use inside of Kik. Yes, that's obviously the first use-case. But thinking bigger, the c

Because doing it as a decentralized cryptocurrency would allow it to one day be more significant than just an internal token systems. There is power in the combination of anonymous identity / messaging + bona fide cryptocurrency.

Good point. Canada is <60% European descent - but still not as big of a gap as I thought. Canada's big cities tend to be very multicultural -- Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal -- which maybe skews my perception a bit.

Agreed that there's a ton of pressure and that can lead to unhappiness, stress, or worse. Doing startups isn't for everyone. Doing YC isn't for everyone. Doing YC with an idea that isn't working must be extremely unpleas
