I'm still waiting for the US to convert from letter size to A4. The change feels imminent, but for some reason it hasn't happened yet. Maybe we need to convert to the metric system first?

64 channels I/O at 192khz over USB2? That's insane. Isn't USB2's bandwith 60 MB/sec? Ok, I just checked, and a 192kHz 24-bit WAV file is only 0.56 MB per sec. Nice.

No, it's in their DNA to name things like that. "Windows" ... nuff said.

I have three bank accounts and it's difficult using Zelle. I use a different email with two, and a phone number with the other one. But sometimes I forget which account belongs to which email. It's idiotic.

For me, most products get delivered in 6 days with Prime. It has stopped making sense to pay for the Prime subscription. It's cheaper to pay for faster shipping, given that I only order 1-2 items monthly.

That goes against my intuition. Multiplication in hardware to this day relies on addition. Is one adder going to add an extra cycle? Or would that time be amortized? Take a look at slides 45-46 here. https://acg.cis.upenn.edu

I assure you, that if we counted from zero, there would be an instruction to add and multiply in the same number of cycles as a multiply.

I think it's very precise. Just multiply the last cheapness value times three. If last month there was a 10% discount, today's discount is 30%.

I like this hypothesis; however, if that was indeed the original meaning, it would have more sense to advertise it as a 33% discount, or as slashing the price by 1/3. "3x cheaper" seems to be aimed to the average Joe shopping

It's hard to understand because "cheaper" only makes sense as a relative comparison. Assuming that if, say, the service was 25% cheaper than the nominal price last month, it is now 0.25 * 3 = 75% cheaper than the nominal pric
