I haven't finished it but "Secrets of Master Closer" seems good and covers the whole of sales, encouraging the reader to learn sales from first principles and then apply it in their own domain.

Hey I'd buy one that's made today in six years time. It'll need software updates and a new battery, but I think the rest would still be fine.

I think it's going to happen and actually launched a startup[1] in this space after seeing just how inefficiently things were being done. Cloud security polices probably need to mature a little in the defense space first though, even just a

Can't recommend this course enough. Martin Odersky is a great lecturer and very passionate about functional programming. Learning Scala was a useful bonus too.

I don't think that "my wife doesn't understand why I like technology" is a sexist comment. Substitute husband and it would read just the same.

Another excellent team strategy is being generous with your abilities. Aim to appear average, but secretly prop each team member up without letting anyone else know. Maybe you fix a bug for them and don't tell anyone, talk a strategy throug

I guess with cracking the intent is crucial. Ie were you just curious and forgot to respect the boundary, or were you in it for personal gain. The first would make good NSA agents once set straight, the second much harder to trust.

I actually get pretty relevant/entertaining things in my what's hot feed. I'm pretty sure it depends on who you follow, it only takes a minute to search for a couple of your interests and follow them but worth it

Totally agree, and I think part of the popularity of this whole 'web application' swing is because browsers like Chrome et al are so well sandboxed also. It makes it almost entirely risk free to automatically download and run random code (

The pay is actually pretty great in Australia (living costs are also high though). I think another problem is that there's no one with the -exact- skillset they're after. Why take a chance on a local person that would take a couple of weeks

NBN Corp would become a monopoly like Telstra wholesale (and I hope they don't sell it, just outsource the operation), but at least it would split Telstra wholesale and retail. There was some seriously strange things going on there, like wh

I smell an app Google Glass (or even a simple voice recorder in an app designed for the purpose) would also be great to reduce the friction of having to type something into a phone while talking to an investor.

Do you find linking unit tests to functional requirements useful? I've also been toying with visual traceability (requirementweaver.com) and it seems to have a lot of potential to speed up the traditionally slow 'quality process'

I'm in a similar boat (just newer), what I'm learning is to start getting it out there. Even if it's complex, work out your message and condense it to it's simplest form so that even if the product isn't done you can show people where it's

That's the Agile way, people not processes. When the people screw up, there's no processes to hold them back, they can really, really screw it up. Once you hit millions in revenue it's probably wise to put a couple of fall back processes in
