I'm sure Ford, GM, et al are pretty ecstatic about his current behavior. It's almost like he's intentionally trying to offend and turn off the largest demographic of EV buyers.

Yeah, I noticed lately this past year I've been seeing a lot more of non-Tesla EVs in my area (which is probably the ideal target demographic for Telsa and other EV makers). Especially Ford Mach-Es, VW ID4s, and now that new Polestar.

Yep, there was 'diesel-gate' back in the early-mid 2010s and even today the way the company overlooks the behavior of the Chinese government is also very unsavory (a problem Elon has as well)

Interestingly I did end up buying an ID4 and it's been great for a full year now. It's not perfect but I like that is has more of a "traditional" interior compared to Tesla, which felt kind of like a giant tablet with a

At this point I'd imagine Tesla is better off with Musk being distracted by his shiny new toy. Though I'd be concerned about the effect he is having on their brand image. Even two years ago I was on the verge of buying a Tesla but

My kid was in a montessori preschool for most of 4 years old and it was a big disaster for him as well due to his ADHD (which we suspected at the time but was not yet confirmed). He was kicked out of the school before the year was up and t

I love "The Twitter Files" name, it's hilarious and totally keeping in character with the conspiratorial nature of those involved (sounds like The X Files, very mysterious and suspicious!). The episodic format of this - along

With 3-12 month CDs now offering much higher interest than my fixed-rate mortgage I'm just happy to dump my extra cash there (after having maxed out on ibonds I guess). I guess I don't see the need to "beat inflation" wh

I wasn't laid off but after my company announced layoffs I received ~25 messages on linkedin from recruiters so I think things are still pretty good if you have a decent resume. I am currently in interview process with about 5 compani

Maybe I'm ignorant of what TikTok is but it seems to be mostly about video sharing and less about "social networking" with friends and family?? I also think TikTok has serious risks going forward re Chinese government. Alread

I've been wanting to go back to the office, at least part of the week, as I feel pretty isolated and detached from my team and miss some of the traditional office amenities like coffee and nearby restaurants. But every time I tell myse

It's been pretty clear what the terms are: Putin completely leaves Ukraine lol. Why is this so hard for people to understand?? This isn't about America, it's about the people of Ukraine. If this were all true Putin could just

Yeah, seems most likely it will continue to run but won't make much revenue and changes will be harder. It's not like HN or sites like 4Chan require a lot to keep running but if Elon is hoping to get some return on his $44billion

Yep, it's pretty hilarious to me that after all the grand promises made about improvements Elon and his cult have been reduced to boasting hysterically about Twitter just merely still being up and running.
