I have my public gateway on a Hetzner server routing traffic to an overlay network of my rinky-dink servers. Hetzner’s static IP is cheaper and more stable than one I could get from an ISP.

Intelligence is not knowledge and it is not wisdom. You have to “learn” to get those. It’s much more akin to VO2 max in aerobic exercise, something like 70% genetic. It is still good for everyone to exercise even if it is harder or easier f

I think I’m just getting old. I have a collection of KaiOS phones with Cortex-A7s but now they’re over a decade old :( Newer ones have the Qualcomm 215, which, yes, is 64-bit 4x A53 From that perspective, LWC is only useful on old (existi

It feels hard to include enough context in the system prompt. Facebook’s content policy is huge and very complex. You’d need lots of examples, which lends itself well to SFT. A few sentences is not enough, either for a human or a language m

If the selling point is “faster,” you’d better wonder why that wasn’t the standard already in use. Because “fast enough” is fast enough, unless it isn’t. My desktop CPU has AES in hardware, so it’s fast enough to just run AES. My ph

Yeah, and uv2nix is already pretty good! I wonder if pyx will be competing with uv2nix. It's easy to compete with Nix tooling, but pretty hard to compete with the breadth of nixpkgs.
