peanut allergies are really only common in the west. weirdly, there doesn't seem to be much of a correlation between parts of the world that eat peanuts regularly and those that don't wrt childhood peanut allergies - peanuts are s

It's possible the role is fluid because he's being groomed to take the company over from Jack. I don't think anyone can argue that Jack is doing a good job as CEO but Biz would carry some of the same goodwill that put Jack in

parts aren't the whole, and it's completely justifiable to say "you might be doing this for the right reasons but this particular action is wrong". distrust in a process isn't distrust of the entire agency.

not sure why this is downvoted - Intel was ranked #1 in at least one major VC rankings list for like 3 years in a row (2012-2015ish). not sure how they have done recently but for a while they were def at the top.

Did you actually read the complaints? There are two that seem reasonable (copied data and number to treat) and one that goes off on a tangent citing supreme court cases on patient harm and sexual abuse. As far as harm let me be clear - the

You're not even making rational arguments, you're vilifying a procedure you happen to dislike. The fact is that the entire medical community agrees there are benefits to either approach, so letting parents decide is the more reaso

Categorically false. I have a newborn boy and talked to a number of doctors about it - there is actually a slight benefit to the circumcised child [1], it just isn't enough for the American Association of Pediatrics to recommend it out

Amazon's free cash flow (at least by their own definition, which I'm not attempting to debate) is tied to operating efficiency above all else. for Uber to pull the same trick it appears the only place Uber could start making more

absolutely agreed on vim-adventures. I generally play the game once a year or so out of pure enjoyment as well as a way to remind myself of all the areas where I'm getting lazy or relying too much on a plugin!

would like to point out that the author has not only built a tool that is making a bunch of people happy, but is also responding brilliantly to all comments with a super helpful tone. very cool all around.

I'm glad it gives you faith, because for me it does the opposite. It makes me long for the days where people in this community took an open mind and could entertain the idea that they might not know everything about everything. I think

Very well put. Personally, I'm a big fan of rent control as a general concept but I think what people are missing is that rent control isn't actually a solution for this specific problem. Home prices aren't being driven up
