I addressed this in a comment above but i'll repeat some of it. What I am imagining is a system with a much more granular assessment model that can be done at the student's own pace, and retaken until they get 100%. If you failed

It does sound ridiculous if you put that requirement in the context of the current education system. What I am imagining is a system with a much more granular assessment model that can be done at the student's own pace. So if a student

Our current school system is moronic and this is not an exaggeration. It is the worst possible teaching system I could possibly imagine. Instead of trying to improve the system it should be scrapped entirely. Here is what is wrong with the

You win by showing the local populations that you are not the enemy. Every drone strike just gives more ammunition to extremists who are trying to convert more people to their cause.

This practice is very common. I'm not saying I agree with it but you should expect that every service you signup with to do this. As the company retargeting you do not know anything extra about your customers. The retargeting audience

We were successfully running retargeting ads on Facebook by uploading our customers email addresses. We were getting lots of conversions cheaply. Initially CPM was $1.70, then a few months later it was $4, now 6 months later it's $9. A

I think the larger Series A rounds are just a natural by-product of companies being further along before they reach Series A. What was Series B is now Series A.

Hi Adrian, Longshoreman looks interesting. I have two questions I couldn't find an answer to. How does port allocation work? And can you specify rules such as: service a should be on all hosts.

The key take away from this article is not to build your app in J2ME but to recognize how big the world is outside of America. American focused startups face lots of competition in a relatively small market.

When I first moved to America, my speech was interpreted as not enthusiastic. A trick I use to now is to just put very in front of everything. I'm very happy that this fixed the problem.

Why would Saudi Arabia curtail their own exports? They'll make a lot more money exporting it. The ruling class has no incentive to care how expensive oil is for their domestic economy.
