1) There are three Home Depots near me. None of them offer diesels for rent 2) The $20 is for the first 75 minutes. I guess I'm wrong, but I couldn't imagine a use-case where you're only going to need the truck for 75 minutes

So, you're trying to tell me, it's the truck's fault that a driver doesn't know they're at a crosswalk? Do you own a truck? I do. I've owned a truck for 15 years. Some of them lifted, and unless you are pretty

It sounds like you’re arguing crypto is a commodity and not a currency. I think OP is saying “why would you want a currency that could lose 30% of its value in a day” Which I agree with wholeheartedly.

Nearly every one I know says they work more than 60 hours a week and I would say that about 1/3 of them actually do. People think it’s cool to tell other people how many hours they work.

I wonder who will hold political office when this happens so they can say "no one could have foreseen this type of devastation."

I think more specifically, the question is - what information is given away on TikTok that, if used by the CCP, presents a national security risk to the US?

Facebook and he hosted me at their Menlo Park headquarters and fed me as many burritos as I wanted. That's honestly way more than 99.9% of the people I've met have done for me, so I don't have a negative view of the guy.

Depends on the subject matter. There is no collateral damage if half the planet believes the world is flat. You don't need to be "right" with these people. Anti-vaxxers are a different story. Their "wrong" directly

That's weird. To me, it makes perfect sense to horse-race total case percentage increase. Young people are generally on the front lines now. Both voluntarily through outings, bars, etc, and front-line jobs, so they are a leading indica

I cringed when I read this comment. This is exactly why half of the United States looks at the other half and calls them "out of touch elites." Saying city culture is better than rural culture is such a haughty statement.

Should is meaningless in this context. You're saying that, under certain circumstances, the company should pass on savings to its employees. Or maybe it should reinvest that savings into R&D in order to secure a more stable future

It's not just about saving money on rent. You reduce your labor needs a ton. (Bye, bye, HR). And you also expand your hiring pool (Bye, bye, high salaries).

If the developer chooses to do a shallow crap job, then sure. But that's the developer's choice, not the programming language's.

This is kind of my point. Instead of just accepting that web programming is rapidly evolving, a developer just says "I'm not going to learn this". And that's completely fine. It's definitely a choice. What I'm
