If these jobs didn't exist, wouldn't they be even worse off? The default state of humanity (or any other species) is not one of abundance.

I follow your logic and see your point...but it still seems like a stretch to label this as coercion. Where do you draw the line? You can always try to argue that the lowest income earners deserve more. Who is to judge their life is too dee

These jobs didn't exist a decade ago. Drivers chose to work them in a fair economic transaction (I will trade my time for $X). They can choose to no longer work these jobs the same way that they didn't work them when they didn

I don't think that's true. Creating more jobs for people to opt-in to only helps them. When people no longer work these jobs, then companies come up with other solutions to get the job done. This is what happened in Japan and why

No one is forcing them to do this work. They opt-in to being a driver. Slavery is coerced labor, how can you even make the comparison?

This is a huge win for all, including drivers. If a driver decides they don't like how they're paid or the benefits they get, they have complete control to not do the job and work elsewhere.

SF resident here. Yes, lots of people have left SF...however every single person I know who has left is a MAN! I don't know a single women that has left SF out of dozens of people. Has anyone else noticed this?

I had this same concept in my mind when using the Houseparty app and thinking about what I'd actually wish it did!

These are really good points and I agree with the idea of what you're saying 100%. I also agree with the specifics of Amazon and where they have clearly gone past the "nice guy" line. I would love to hear if there are example

In the book "The Everything Store," Jeff Bezos mentions that the public tends to hate companies as they get bigger and that managing the company's image is very important. All politics aside, I find it very interesting that t

This is not a good year for AirBnB. First the virus, then this, all while they were planning to IPO.

I was visiting Sydney earlier this year and could use Apple Pay on the metro/ferry/bus. Rather than wasting time at a ticket machine, inserting a card, etc, I could literally just tap my phone on the turnstile and "ding"

Reasonable concerns but I don't think we offer anything inherently new for terrorists. They don't need our service to carry out attacks today. There are easier ways to leave a bomb, drugs, etc without your ID / payment info a

Store owners have the right to reject customers and to ask what's being stored upon deposit. This has alleviated this problem and this concern with stores. These guys on the ground know what they're doing.

Shop owners can reject any customer that they're not comfortable with. These guys have an eye for everything. They'll sniff you out in a heart beat.

We've built a far better product (judge for yourself - usebounce.com), and have a much higher quality bar for locations. This work comes through in numbers: Bounce has maintained a 4.9/5 star rating across all our customers. The c
