You must live in a warm place because if I turn off the heating when it is 0 degree celsius outside, then I wake up in the middle of the night because my face is numb.

I agree. It is harder for people to argue against the logic for manufacturing which is why I only mentioned that.

I've never heard of anyone that would even remotely consider hiring someone who got their knowledge from MIT opencourseware.

Investing is very close to being a legal ponzi scheme. If everyone invested as much as they could, people wouldn't buy enough to drive company profits like you see today, or to be the last people holding the bags when a recession occur

The answer is so obvious I find it strange that Powell is confused. Globalization. No one is going to pay workers here more when they know that workers are getting paid $2/hr in China or Cambodia.

"If you look at the money supply for the US it has a pretty constant growth rate over the last 8 decades" I'm not sure how you can come to that conclusion given it is common knowledge and fairly obvious that the Fed has been

I never said it was. I am just pointing out that the article says Github hasn't even turned a profit yet while the OP said they were profitable.

It says in the article: GitHub, which has been trying for nine months to find a new CEO and has yet to make a profit from its popular service that allows coders to share and collaborate on their work.

You will get rate limited more severely the more downvotes you get. I've also run into subreddits run by very biased moderators who will mark any stories as spam they disagree or competes with their friends. And due to the shadowban sy

All I can say is that not everyone's situation is the same. If you have a small forum where a few hundred people post a few dozen messages a day, it obviously won't be a big deal. There are situations where the amount of generated

The problem isn't to delete 1 piece of data 1 time. The problem is different people demanding thousand+ rows randomly spread out in your database deleted every day that is the problem.

That would make it compliant but there will still be efficiency problems. Databases such as Cassandra are made so that updating doesn't actually delete the old data until some time later so frequent updates will degrade performance and

Merely setting a delete flag is not compliant with the GDPR, that's why a cascading delete is necessary. Any programmer worth their salt knows mass random deletes and updates are extremely inefficient.

I am sure most of them are consumers and don't run their own websites. The GDPR is even an issue for people running simple blogs and forums. Many public software for these don't even have the features for GDPR compliance.

Looks like compared to other ddos vectors it isn't that bad, because you can actually shut them down yourself unlike snmp etc... Any unsecured memcache server will also allow anyone to shut it down remotely. https://github.
