Why would that implicitly be "regardless" of what the keyboard dictionary says? I would expect the learned dictionary to be prioritized over other sources of information, just as a practical matter, even if someone might reasonabl

Apple is supposedly bringing a better, transformer-based speech recognition model to iOS 17 as well, although I don't think either of these transformer models would be classified as a large language model. Link to the announcement ti

Yes, this appears to be entirely educational. No. Despite the name, llama.cpp supports more than just llama. It also isn’t an entirely bespoke thing as you indicate, since it is built on the more general purpose “ggml” tensor library/f

Does this mean Stability gave up on StableLM? I notice that the repo hasn’t been updated since April, and a question asking for an update has been ignored for at least a month: https://github.com/Stability-AI/StableLM&#

One of my top feature requests for Apple Maps would be a way to import all of my bookmarks from Google Maps. I can export them from Google with Takeout, I believe, but there’s no way to do get them into Apple Maps except to manually save hu

I feel like this concept has been tried many times. The Light Phone is one example. It seems like a concept people find appealing, but in practice… almost no one wants to give up the features their phone already offers. It amounts to a tech

Regardless, the updates do still flow. Any case where updates aren’t happening is the exception, not the rule. Android being open source isn’t the problem.

I would say that less than 30W might be a more realistic goal[0]. Maybe lower end monitors consume less power than these... I'm not sure. Also, it just seems strange that anyone is asking for a 1080p monitor in 2023 outside of Esports.
