Awesome. Hope I didn't rustle any feathers! I knew if I was thinking about it, someone else would probably have the same thought.

This looks great but, before I give you access to my Coinbase account, I need to know a lot more about you. Knowing about your security practices is nice but let me know who is running the company and where the company is incorporated, etc.

Strongloop has http://loopback.io which has been interesting to work with. Looking to free up some time to investigate a little further!

Why isn't a false rape accusation punished with real jail time? I can't imagine the terror that's associated with an accusation that's so hard to fight.

Thanks for the link. I don't know that I would have considered using the site without the vouching of HN users. Oh well, call me paranoid.

:) sure. let me just build a site right quick and link to some random person's LinkedIn profile. I bet I could get a good 12 hours of yokels using it before it was remedied. If it's truly Josh Jones of DH, he is not instilling too

Wow, there's no doubt there's a desire for this sort of service but what they're asking to get an account rolling is nuts: - Full Legal Name - Full Home Address - Social Security Number - Date of Birth - Picture of Govt ID (d

Hard to tell. There's a 35+ minute lag on the MtGOx trading API right now so who knows where it'll be after the dust settles.

The fact that they didn't immediately disclose that the Cobalt had been found, as well, doesn't instill much confidence in them having likely found it. Seems like they would have definitely disclosed that fact.

You can link your credit card and get your first BTC instantly. This is a new(ish) feature and I've not tried it but I do remember seeing it.

Agreed. As a fellow Texan, I'm embarrassed that this relatively small town has become the de facto venue for patent battles... especially those involving patent trolls. How would we go about changing this? Surely the rest of the nation

One thing that surprised me... When I created a Deck (default Sinatra Hello World) and converted it to a Drop, it did just that: it removed the Deck and created a Drop. I guess I thought it would keep the Deck so that I could see the config

Agreed... Coinbase is simply a mechanism to purchase and move Bitcoins through to my bank account. I never felt right storing coins in anything other than a paper wallet.

Same here. Pingdom let me know one of my sites was down roughly 20 minutes before DO added their notification to the status page. Unfortunately, it appears all of my DO instances are in the NY1 facility. Bad on me.

Uber's a good use case that I had not considered. The pricing of their in-app purchases are outside of what I think about when thinking about in-app purchases (extra game levels, etc). Thanks for framing their target customer for me.

Yeah, was thinking the same thing. Also, I would think in-app purchase pricing would be relatively inexpensive. I guess I don't see who they're targeting... the target company would need substantially-priced in-app purchases to ju
