I loved that story of how iOS came to be. He ended up making the right decision.

Am I the only one that thinks that it makes no sense to compare Dropbox and iCloud? Dropbox is glorified rsync, and, in my eyes, is great for syncing files between my laptops that still use a file management paradigm from 20+ years ago. iCl

I saw a screenshot of the "About This Mac" screen that displayed 10.8 as the version number. I believe it was on the TechCrunch article.

iTunes purchases can currently only be made from inside of iTunes.app, not in the browser. Apple does offer the ability to link to apps or music in the browser, and a track list, description, screenshots, etc will be displayed inside of you

Correct, an app with a binary compiled using the iOS SDK will not run on your Android device, if that's what you're implying. Is that surprising?

Apple has done this. "iTunes in the Cloud" causes purchases made on any device (Mac, iPod, iPhone, iPad) to be downloaded automatically on all devices which automatic downloads have been enabled on. Purchases that are automatically download

Isn't it essentially already integrated into your IDE? You click the save button, and it compiles the less file.

Whoa... Thank you for alerting me to that, I just deleted all my saved passwords. That's absolutely insane.

Why are you going back to transferring files via email? Are MegaUpload and "filesonic.com" the only methods of transferring files other than email or something? Ever heard of Dropbox?

Seems really poorly implemented. Doesn't explain why it's blacked out in a concise manner, it was unable to look up the House rep for my zip code, it doesn't autolink Twitter, refers to the bills only as "SOPA" and "PIPA" and never actually

Is that not possible with Ruby? "thin -R config.ru start", "unicorn", or something along those lines. Point nginx at the port(s), and you're done.

Doesn't that require a gyroscope? Most devices that would work with this only have accelerometers.

I'm convinced that Apple intentionally made the Reminders app cumbersome to make Siri's interface to create reminders more attractive. Apple simply knows too much about good design to have made an app this awkward without it being intention

Is it bad that I've never heard of this app or seen it been used in the wild before? The iPhone app looks really ugly, and I can't see myself convincing my friends to start using it if they have to pay for the app when we could just be usin

And this is why I don't believe it when people say that Apple's closed platforms will be the death of the technological creativity and curiosity at young ages that we were able to enjoy when we were younger.
