I don't think there's going to be a shift from Reddit to Hacker news in the same way. I feel like there's a theoretical balance between social networks. Additionally I think reddits subreddit system helps a lot too. p.s sorry for the drun

I love the example Reddit has made with the Digg/Reddit war. Mostly in that it was never a war. I remember hearing their response when they found out about digg was something to the affect of "oh interesting" then continued on.

personally i'd have no problems with you getting $700/month for an apartment to work on a startup. That might encourage more long term "job creation" then many other policy that is being set in place.

not at all, the shop I worked at charged $250 an hour. When we charged $130 it was a discount hoping for more work. I was paid very nicely in terms of salary + bonuses, but I ended up working so much overtime, i would doubt my hourly wage
