Does using tensors for storage yield some benefit over the 'panels' metaphor that Python Pandas affords? It seems like the real power of tensors is in the calculus that can be run over them, rather than just them by themselves. If

So funny that the KSP site hijacks scrolling, but no comments here, while another space-related article on the first page right now is getting a mess o' hate about the hijacking: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=944

I thought it was abrupt and reaching. It felt like the author has this tidbit about Carter laying around that he'd been holding on to, but wasn't sure where to use it. He thought it could maybe fit here, but it just was jarring. N

This is an interesting comment, thank you for the perspective. I think you mean 'facade' where you wrote 'fasard'? I don't want to assume, though -- it might be a word I don't recognize, or transliteration -- h

Which virtualenv's, regrettably, depend on OS-level packages. so when you go to deploy your app to production, you find you installed some system dependency long ago and promptly forgot about it. The real world is messy.

The HR screen was a bit off. I applied as a Python developer and was given a purely C memory-leak multiple-choice quiz. Sort of annoying, considering I told the recruiter explicitly that I don't know C. EDIT: My broader qualm is this.

There's also autorotation, which means you need very little power for a controlled descent (still need some power to steer). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autorotation

Thank you. I searched to see if his article had been mentioned, and glad to find you did. The link he gives to Ted Neward's post is gone, but I found it in the Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/201412052

Awesome. That's such a straight-forward solution to one of the crappy edge-cases that SQL is so bad about (ending lists without commas, like JSON requires too, being another).

This is really on-point. You echo a lot of how I think about interviewing: always tell the truth, but highlight pieces of the truth to craft the narrative you want. Be fallible. Don't speculate, and pay close attention to whether a lin
