If you want to do the mTLS, I’d also suggest step-ca [0], it’s an open source TLS and SSH CA. You can setup a variety of methods to be the identity provider, then have step provide the certs 0: https://smallstep.com/docs

Exit to community is a form of exit specifically for coops. The exact structure of that is variable, but it can be something like a loan paid to the founders/stakeholders and paid back over time or just a crowdfund from workers and cus

Have you heard of sortition? Its taking your last idea even further, and having that random selection just actually become the legislative body. Would hopefully lead to less polarisation as parties would have less opportunities to fundraise

These dams have drawbacks, but the planets speed is so far down the list. The rivers ecosystem and the watershed would be much more impacted. Not that they can’t take those into account and try to minimize, but it is an inevitable side effe

It’s the hypocrisy that bothers me personally. They force other countries to have maximally free trade with the world bank/IMF, then abandon those ideals the moment they aren’t convenient for the US. I think it’s reasonable for the US

That feels like a big factor. I see far more engineers and techies in SF than artists and poets. Not sure how many artists could survive in the city when not only rent is so expensive, but almost all other goods are also more expensive (lar

This was written for Houston Strategies, I’m thinking it might not be some unbiased flawless review of the data. Houston is an oil town with crazy sprawl, they have a vested interest in more cars and car dependency. The article doesn’t seem

Deepseek just released their frontier model that they trained on 2k GPUs for <$6M. Way cheaper than a lot of the big labs. If the big labs can replicate some of their optimisations we might see some big gains. And I would hope more small

I mean it’s possible we don’t see it. Or perhaps don’t see it very much before it’s ridiculously smart. A lot of AI research is at private companies who only share some details when they formally release a model. If they could make an AI re
