The is–ought problem is a philosophical problem of how knowledge of the present world does not necessarily lead to knowledge of how the world ought to be. This is also sometimes referred to as Hume's law or "Hume's Guillotine

Aho and Ullman has a great book about Parsing, Translating and Compiling that I'm currently reading, it's not a either or thing - you can learn about both and they are related to each other

Interesting phenomena. I don't see any issues with it really. Many influencers do plastic surgery and other modifications to themselves to be more popular, this is a healthier alternative

Human-friendlyness and bug-prevention is very important, of course everthing in Rust can be created in C or Assembler och in machine-code but the question is how feasible is it that a typical human can do it? Rust has a lot of potential I t

But low-level languages also get translated by a parser so I don't see the difference.. Maybe you mean that languages has less abstractions and because of this simplier translations? Think I need to try Zig out to get a grip on it..

In all programming languages you must understand how the parser will understand and translate what you write, it sounds like Zig will always know your intentions and maximize your code, it sounds too good to be true

One important reason that is often overlooked is that static sites are cheaper to host since they don't require a preprocessor that consumes server resources. In the future maybe there is cheap hosting for Rust/C++ web preprocesso

The lack of control over hardware and software on contemporary Macs is a show-stopper for me. Once they get back to Snow Leopard ideology I'll return, until then it's Linux or Windows for me

Both Google and YouTube contain stolen and illegal content. There are lots of full length pirate movies on YT for instance. It doesn’t make it right but I just mean all companies should be equally judged by rules and regulations
