Just to highlight; That's 6 major versions of .NET (so at least 7+ years in between). Including the Core era.

C# runs natively on Linux (have done for many years now). AFAIK even on Azure people prefer to run it on Linux machines (including the place I work for). Performance wise I believe it runs equal to faster. A lot of C# devs (majority) now wo

Yep. But, not to be confused with overall crime rate (which my parent was referring to)! That's a very dangerous slide in facts.

Sorry, but please state a source for that claim. Now, I'm not much better, but from what I recall crime in general is going down - but there are some notable exceptions (gang crime related specifically).

I think it takes more than money (i.e. culture). There's also a lot less integration between the West and Russia/China than the countries within the EU. In general, I think it takes a lot of time. Actually, the more I think about

The whole existence of EU is to prevent war between countries within the union through making all depend economically on each other. So far it's been quite successful (0 wars so far AFAIK), but of course it's quite early to say. M

AFAIK Gore Tex are pretty rigid about how it's used with significant QC done within the factory using it to ensure a consistent experience. Then of course, I'm unsure how good that QC really is. (I work in the industry, but not di

The framework you're looking for is more or less Vue. (some will probably disagree, but I think most that have used Vue significantly won't)

The thing that always strikes me is that verbs and paths are pretty tiny details (and also easy to abstract away using endpoint consumer generation libs) - then what else do you really get compared to your normal average web api? You still

The Gartner Hype Cycle is quite well known and exactly what's described here. See https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gartner_hype_cycle I've seen this pattern a lot in IT (in particular here on HN) - "disco

Probably different for different ORMs. I know EF Core (C# /.NET) does it/cache queries (for performance reasons).

I haven't worked with Svelte (but with Vue, so def biased) but my feeling is that where Vue really shines (and always have, compared to other frameworks) is it's data reactivity system, making data (including but not limited to) s

That's not strictly correct. It's (very!) hard for someone to replicate the brand of Apple or Coca-Cola. Moats are all on a scale, and branding is one of the generally harder ones to compete with.

Have you seen Bachmut, or what used to be Bachmut? That's a city of 80k (?) - which is quite a large city historically (just go back 200 years, then most cities are a lot smaller than they are today). Russia has had a similar strategy
