Every time I visit this site, the images are broken. Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/LTevV36.png With that out of the way, this is excellent and super impressive. I've always dreamed of a "video game magazine"

The analogy to SQL injection is a user's input (what they chose their username to be) is directly influencing how the system works.

I've never used gitlab but this issue has definitely caused me to take pause. It sort of feels like "not allowing 'OR' in strings to prevent SQL injection."

This is my first exposure to Spasm (a wasm web framework where apps are written in D) and my first impressions are quite positive. https://github.com/skoppe/spasm

Although I do agree with all of this. I sometimes feel like "distributes the responsibility" can actually cause things to slip through the cracks. The reviewer thinks "eh, I didn't write this, what I saw looked fine"

It's been in very active development for the past couple years or so. Lately it seems like it's been stabilizing and I'm now pretty happy with Storybook. I agree it's still heavy and when it breaks may god help you. But

One thing I really like about Proton is with smaller indie games, they almost always work perfectly. When I tell a developer their new game works flawlessly on Linux they are usually grateful that the question of whether to port or not to L

I wonder how many people who rely on Linux have truly moved to WSL? I gave it a try and I find real Linux vastly superior. Hybrid Windows+WSL apps, what is the point? Developing Windows apps with .NET is very easy and pleasant. Don't g

The campus is large, and I certainly didn't see all of it. It's possible some of the older buildings weren't designed as well? The buildings I frequented had wide hallways, large windows and a decent amount of natural light (

I had an office when I was at Microsoft. It wasn't dark or depressing. It was very nice. Throughout the entire Redmond campus, can't say I ever saw an office that was dark or depressing. But with that said, I found the offices mad

Anecdotally this seems correct to me. A friend of mine has had several viral TikTok videos hit millions of views, and he's only been on TikTok for a little while. He did no outside promotion. I think the only way a new YouTube video wo

Why does it have to be an either/or? Of course Stallman and a large group of volunteers can't compete with giant corporations. But their contributions are very valuable and needed. It also turns out that few hundred billion dollar

A good time to thank Stallman for seeing all this coming and preparing way back in 1983. As far as I know he was the first person to kick off the open source OS effort, and of course quite a few people have helped over the decades.

Re-releasing old games on new systems is pretty common. Crash Bandicoot got re-released on the PS4 for example. So companies are going to hold onto their assets in hopes of being able to cash in on them again.

I'm the opposite, I love the death of phone calls. Phone calls being synchronous and forcing you to pay attention to them immediately is incredibly annoying. Just let it go to voicemail? Sure, but then just text me.
