I have a serious question about your question, understood under the current regime rules: How does one build and maintain a "global heartbeat of the information age" without return to the funders? Even if I was an inventor that wa

Hongbao is still huge and getting bigger. AND on Chinese Single's day, Alibabi did about $30B, which is about 4x the total ecommerce volume in the US.

It depends on the company, and how much "power" you have as a PM to influence/push process, but I find that even causing a majority on-site company operate as if they are fully remote is almost always a universal good. Writin

For monolithic web apps, this is almost certainly true (in my experience), but the ability to rapidly turn d/c configurations, and instantly scale to match spot demand has been a game changer (for me)

I've never understood B2C. Why would anyone go to the trouble of starting a company without $1M in ARR commitments? To me, that sounds like a death wish, but it worked for all the new high-tech consumer facing companies we read about e

Weird. It's new to me that we didn't have experimental evidence before, but I guess it would have to be pretty subtle equipment. I wish I knew how to catalog/index my assumption/belief set, so I could scrub it down for

Wow. When I did this in the 1980s, it was $250K (minimum), in 1980 dollars. Things have gotten easier! :-) There was the situation where if you didn't become a citizen (which was hard, but not impossible, at the time), you could visa-w

The 14 eyes (used to be 5 eyes, way back when), and Russia (ex-Soviets) were colluding with even Kerberos back-doors back in the 90s, why do you assume that various nation-states are at odds with helping one-another keep track of the on-lin
