Can Hister handle indexing of large local file shares? I've got 30-50TB of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel files with no easy way to search them currently, beyond Agent Ransack. Does Hister handle this well? If not, can anyone suggest othe

I echo folks sentiment here. Sadly OAI Sol couldn't make a powerpoint to save its life. Opus 5 and Fable do a really good job of. I just have to review the language, but that's relatively easy.

I see others mentioning the severance package being decent for a US company. I'm glad they received something, but I'm sorry, can we stop calling this decent? It's markedly lopsided when a company can one day decide to lay of

Has anyone tried this for things like Excel models and PowerPoints? And any reactions to how it compares to Claude? I’ve seen lots of flashy examples, but a lot of knowledge work is not this, and more synthesis of sources and information in

Re: common people, yes, and given all the talk of job instability AI is creating, why hasn’t Anthropic or OpenAI offered discounted plans for laid off or displaced workers? Wouldn’t this be a tangible way to display goodwill and build adopt

Where does the harness come in to play? I'd love to use GLM 5.2 for general chat, but I don't know of any harness that offers an experience close to ChatGPT or Claude (e.g., history, skills, projects) without requiring a PhD to se

I love your idea and wondered why saving and indexing browser visited pages was not being done. Does this handle large amounts of local files, for example 10-20TB across file types like Powerpoint, Excel, Word, and PDF?

I know less about the airframe differences across the -400 and -8, but I can say the 747-8 represented a major upgrade in Flight Management Software. I re-wrote the Central Maintenance System (portion inside the FMS) in C from scratch becau

I haven't kept up with the latest on supercomputing power, but I recall some years ago there being strong evidence that China had a couple of un-announced supercomputers that would have topped the charts. It makes me wonder what is pu

Wouldn't distribution naturally be the more expensive part vs. electricity generation given the latter is centralized and scaled? Perhaps this is a fallacy, but that is the thought that crossed my mind.

You mention cost in one of the replies. Can you elaborate on the cost profile (ballpark) for various problem types? I would also be curious to understand the strategies employed and what the costs look like across each.

I have a CSE847 and HP DL380 G10 that have gone down for me due to power outages. Many of these look complex, and I basically just need remote power-on/toggle capability. Should I be looking at something else?
