What happens to the programmers who are closer to 40, but aren't managers? They have a choice: a) continue earning a living doing what they do with ever-diminishing returns, regular holidays, time with the kids, or b) go it alone, and risk

I agree with this - I think it's the fact that MtGox is the main exchange that's wrong. There should be multiple exchanges with proper backing.

Isn't it amazing how many commentors actually know nothing about the mechanisms of the currency, preferring to comment from a position of ignorance in tabloid headline statements. I find it very strange coming from a community of so-called

A well shot, well edited film can be let down by a poor stroy or a poor script. These are variables you have to get right so all the players have to be A players who get on very well together. good luck!

I would have thought that if this was a government backed project it would include the ability "to know" - whether that be the persone, the amount or the "where" af transactions. It would be pretty dumb not to include that aspect, but as fa

Age could mean broader experience. You may not be able to crack out code at the rate of a 20 year old, but you will see the architecture more clearly which is a different vision. It allows you to take decisions knowing what's about to come,

I conducted a technical telephone interview with someone who had a strong stammer. I can't say it was easy, but he was the best person I interviewed, and so he got the job. You will find the right person to employ you, and ditch the current

Hilarious. I guess since Jeff left, there's no limit to the stupidity that can be accomplished by over-eager investors.

The only reason why a price "correction" may happen is if those who own bitcoins - and large quantities at that - decide to dump them on the market at a price that is well below the current exchange rate. But you have to ask yourself under

I'm finding it difficult to say anything, without being insulting, and I apologies because clearly you are young. I spent years in product design and this would have been rejected even as a sketch. The product looks like an idea trying to f

"On a lighter note - you could unlock them both, then see who gets in first and locks the other out, then you'll have a clear winner!" I think there is something to be said about this approach even if it was said in jest. You might also wan

I can't imagine this ever happening, but the question of "how to contact your own customer" is bizarre. The fact is, when they are already your customer it's what is known as a warm lead, as opposed to a cold call. You seem to be imagining

"There are no successful people. Stop drinking the Kool-Aid." Great comment - this sums it up perfectly. Your definition of successful, seems to be limited to wealth - and that may not be everybody's definition of successful. My grandparent

This is exactly the reason why some choose to notify sec problems anonymously. You may find that this comes back to bite you badly especially if they consider your communiqué to be a blackmail-ish threat, even if you did not intend it to be

Yahoo was uncool years ago, but it's still going, so I can see FB doing the same. The numbers are just too big to die, and although you/we may be bored, it won't stop unless the money stops coming in.

Couldn't agree more... but I noticed that it depends on the timezone. If you post questions in the US daytime you get comments which then prompt you to improve your question, but do it in European daytime and the moderators are "little Hitl

Bit of an odd question this. First you ask (allegedly) smart people what it's like to be smart followed by a point which tells us you do not consider yourself smart enough to do something. Looks to me like you have something on your mind, o

Not sure I agree that it's critical to get it right first time, but at the appropriate time. Even if you have incorporated, it is possible to do a NewCo later with a different structure and roll the startup business into the NewCo. Your c

The biggest and best advice, is to sort out your relationship/responsibilities with your partner in the business. Make it clear from the start and don't argue about it later.

I think you have over-attributed what the make up of a VC firm essentially is, which rather undermines you claim to know what will be a good business to invest in. There's a lesson here: check your facts before making claims. Venture Capita
