Using a PHP based stack, Magento and WooCommerce are my go to solutions depending on requirements and size. If there as a huge range of products then Magento, if not WooCommerce which is easier for me to work with and allows easier customis

Personally I love Vue and the ideas behind it. React has managed to break into the industry with a bang and some (bad) PR with the licensing issues they hit last year and has now become very widely used. They are the same language but requi

For trust badges work, users need to know and trust the brand which is on the badge; coming into this field you really need to show the value to the user as well as to the administrator/designer.

Hosting emails on it won't work well unless you can guarantee a static IP address as the emails would get flagged as spam/junk instantly.

I think costs need to be displayed up front and the value shown straight away; questions that can be answered through the service. Also step away from using TypeForm and develop your own system to collect data and payment so it can be more

This is both cool and really f*cking scary; I'm glad there's going to be a "smart city" or at least "smart district" but at the same time what would Google do with this data? I've got a massive issue regar

Completely agree with this, we tend to state that we will support the latest version and two major previous versions and if any other support is needed we can accommodate that at an extra cost which some of our clients have refused to pay.

Was gonna build something like this myself to move away from subscription based services and utilise storage such as Dropbox. Nice job.

To be honest that is one of the reasons for this question, to ascertain what customers would prefer between the two different options.

That's how I tend to feel, I'm just not sure whether a one off payment would work for this. With AWS, storage and cloud storage is fairly cheap so that shouldn't be an issue.

This has to be one of the best self started little projects I've seen that has the biggest throw back to my childhood growing up when polaroid cameras were popular.

You can see brutalism in a lot of late modernist graphic design, which to me is quite ironic seen as it is usually applied to architecture to be function first rather than "lets just make this look brutal" - as with everything thi

Made the jump to Mac about a decade and haven't used anything else (unless experimenting) since then. The OS has the software I need and is built on Unix so the command line is very similar to that of Ubuntu which I use on servers.

Let's see how many businesses are destroyed and how much money Google makes because of this. It's a shame they can't just stand back and let people use websites like Indeed, Monster, JobSite among others and let them get on w

Super simple idea but laughable implementation - people trying SQL injections and just spamming the shit out of it means it becomes completely useless. I wouldn't even have that online.

So did I especially after watching videos like Free is a lie by Aral Balkin that takes this premise and attaches it to the big free tech companies.

This can be twisted to companies like Google and Facebook, who collect so much personal information about us as users and then sell that data to their advertisers; we literally are products then.

If I'm honest, I usually don't mind the slide up and down header if the navigation is there, means that it is always close by. I do disagree with sticky footers though, especially if it adds no value to me as the user.

Completely agree, while technically AMP is suitable but it creates a walled garden by using Google - who actually boost page rankings if you use it, so they have publishers by the balls "forcing" them to use AMP to get higher in t

I agree, phonegap might be the best best for cross platform hybrid apps but doesn't officially cover desktop, although it shouldn't be too difficult to port it to use electron instead https://electron.atom.io

I believe that Tim Farron is a great leader and the campaign went well for him, the truth is that his manifesto got lost in the campaign with the Tories and Labour party taking over all media coverage.

I've seen designers simply copy and paste from an "inspirational" pinterest board, strategists copy and paste the first idea from an article or speech or book - hacking stuff together is for more than simply technical people.

I think this needs to be said to a lot of stubborn egotistical designers too. Ego in some ways is good but needs to be controlled and put aside so projects get the most effective outcome.

If it was that easy to install an open source framework and change it very little - screenshots from LiveStreet show very little distance - and try and sell it then I think anyone would do it for a few quid.
