Right. Paid advertisement is the next best thing :) Especially since they're already paying the streamers to play their games, it makes sense to provide an optimized game rendering mode for this.

What solution for this "problem" would the author accept? The offenders would have to be denied internet access or computer ownership as far as I can tell.

This is not about streaming a game running on a remote machine for personal use. It's about streaming a recording of you playing and commentating to viewers. This is a big part of modern gaming culture that video game producers are not

WARNING: I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING THIS Correct. In the U.S., you can report to a police officer that, "yeah man, I'm high out my mind. Stoned as fuck, bro." As long as you aren't driving or causing a disturbance, they le

The hardest part about quitting weed for me was terrifying, vivid nightmares. Ironic considering how these "hallucinations" are an order of magnitude more powerful than any you would get from the drug itself. I relapsed several ti

Right. We place them with other adults such as grandparents, aunts/uncles, foster care, etc. I fail to see how this would work for fetuses.

It has approximately zero value for doing the job of software development vs. equivalent time spent with actual work experience. It has value otherwise, but I'm really not concerned about that when hiring my future coworkers. There are

Some of the best engineers I've ever worked don't even have a bachelor's degree. These autodidacts will suffer greatly if the wrong kind of "software guild" gains control over licensing tech employees.

Thank you for your comment. It's not often someone tries to empathize with someone on the opposite side of an argument. Especially on the internet. Indeed, I saw things I hope to never see again.

If the inherent nature of bacon creation or trade caused a pandemic, and there was no reasonable way to mitigate it, it should be banned. If it can be mitigated, it should be! Why has this not happened in China? I know we Americans love our

The actual correct alternative would have been to not freak out about COVID. I can understand the first 3-6 months of restrictions. The rest was a total own-goal. A politicized circus. At least we didn't own ourselves for almost 3 year
