Possibly an idea promoted by breakfast cereal manufacturers. Dietary recommendations are corrupted by industry.

Not the same as going for a jog. I had been regularly exercising intensely for 10 years prior to that. It's not the same effect. To understand the longer term or scientific viewpoint, there is an abundance of research on the benefits o

Increased mental clarity, energy and feeling of wellbeing is quite real. What exactly are you expecting to happen within 24 hours? Super powers? 10 years increased lifespan?

I assumed you were intermittent fasting (16 - 20 hours per day). 62+ hours is extreme.

Eat what our ancestors ate. Meat, potatoes, vegetables, fruit, dairy, in reasonable proportions. Ignore all modern artificial junk food (that includes unnatural omega-6 industrialized vegetable oils - soy, rapeseed, etc). Ignore all the die

What time did you fast? Shift the eating window to later in the day. Eat a few hours before sleep.

People have experienced positive effects from prayer, meditation, and fasting. I don't know if we can add flagellation to the list. Needs more studies.

It's not a fad. It has been practiced for thousands of years in religious contexts and was a natural part of life before it was done intentionally. If you think this is based on "a handful of flawed or limited studies" then y

Are you being facetious? How does science benefit from a diversity of genitalia? I'm not saying women should or shouldn't do this or that.. but the irrational compulsion to force equity between the sexes is stupid. Providing equal

Fair enough. Women are generally less interested in engineering, so there will always be a gap. James Damore was fired from Google for writing this memo on the tech gender gap. You may find it interesting. https://www.documentclo

Suppose you had a brain tumor that could possibly be fixed by surgery. You are given the choice of two surgeons. One is a female who graduated from her medical school to fill a gender quota at the expense of other male students. The other o
