I filled out DoD form for TS clearance years ago and answered honestly that I had smoked weed and done coke in college. That's what my boss said to do. He said if they caught you in a lie you were finished because that meant you could

Sorry to hear about the suffering you endure with your condition. Have you investigated any somatic work? How about psychedelics? Over the past 10+ years, I've gotten myself off a 200mg dose of Zoloft, along with Wellbutrin and Adderal

What do you call the person who came in last in the class in medical school? Doctor.

I do not. I had a psychiatrist years ago who insisted I was ADHD. I was also on heavy dose of Zoloft. He prescribed Adderall XR. Took it for months. Did nothing. Years later, I've done a ton of transformative work on myself. I realized

Great article. My first car was a 1966 MG Midget (with a '71 engine). Gas gauge never worked. Voltage regulator broke at some point so it had to be push started (no hills in Florida made this more fun) and the first winter I had it I k

I was never a big news guy to begin with. Haven't had cable since 2009. For awhile I read the NYT and for a shorter while, Talking Points Memo. I've quit reading most world news and especially political news. His point that >“B

I've been using Fastmail for years. Love it. Rarely a problem. Support always responds within 24 hrs if there is. Ended up having to move my calendars back to Google Workspace so they could sync with Acuity (SquareSpace) Scheduling. Re

Vipassana is amazing. 10 day is minimum to start. After you sit a 10, there are 1, 3 and 5 available.

Same with the New York Times. Having gone through calling to cancel, I vowed never to subscribe again. Now I simply scan the front page to make sure the end of the world isn’t upon us. (Many days, reading it, it appears as though it is!)&#x

I sure wish I'd kept the Apple II+ my dad sent me to college with. All 48k of RAM, two floppy drives and a color screen. Even more I wish I kept the shares of Apple stock I bought for $52 in 1992. Sold 'em right before the iPod wa

I was not full carnivore until 6 months ago. I have a serious addiction to sugar. I was on and off of it for the first year. I kicked it for good six months ago. I’m the sugar was coming from chocolate bars, mostly.

I'm glad that works for you. It doesn't work for me. I went from worse than SAD (Standard American Diet) slowly into gluten free, then sort of vegetarian, then vegan. I had two different functional medicine docs prescribe a very s

“ Meat contains MINIMAL nutritional value compared to the plant world.” This is categorically untrue. Meat has more bioavailable vitamins than any food.

Could be. I know that if I had remained vegan, I probably wouldn’t be here now. I felt terrible. There were multiple things going on with my health - both physical and emotional - and vegan was helping exactly zero of them. And I was doing

As someone who began eating carnivore eighteen months ago after three plus years as a vegan (and a strict, gluten-free one at that) I can attest to the truth of this piece. My cholesterol has risen, however, the ratio is fine and a heart sc

Work with a professional. From numerous anecdotal stories, if you do have ADHD, taking medicine such as Ritalin or Adderal will radically alter you (in a good way). 15+ years ago, I had a psychiatrist who insisted I had ADHD. I took Adderal
