Only because you're talking about a bond with fixed payments. Operating companies (stocks) handle inflation better because they can raise prices.

It sounds like every B2B company. It's only a Ponzi scheme if YC companies are all B2B and primarily sell to each other.

Building new housing doesn’t bring more people to the area. Nobody will stay long without a job and increasing the total number of jobs requires more office and commercial space.

It's more about neighborhood level obstruction in SF. People will elect pro-housing candidates as Mayor and State Senator/Rep, but the local Board of Supervisors (the city council) is controlled by people that will say, "you

I used the Republic Wireless wifi only service for $5/month. Still more expensive than it _needs_ to be, but well worth it.

Yet employment increased 40% from 1990 to 2019[1]. Increasing employment while maintaining a cap on the number homes drives up the value of the homes closest to all those jobs. [1] 2523.4/1798.7 = 1.4 from https://fred.stlou

I highly doubt a lack of demand will be the problem for self driving tech. This survey is wildly different than giving someone the option and seeing if they take it.

I linked to the costs in my comment. For ballot initiatives in 2020 it was between $5.59 and %10.37 per signature. Somewhere around 15% of signatures are invalidated putting the recall effort between $9,615,165 and $17,837,077 for the signa

Hot take: California's recall rules are anti-democratic. It takes 12% of the voters in the last election to to demand a recall. Has there ever been a politician with less than 12% of voters strongly against them? A recall happens whene

I'd love to see a modern type system available as a Lua replacement. A couple things I didn't see skimming the docs: 1. Does it continue the billion dollar mistake (null)? 2. Does it allow type parameters so I can write a generic
