Does anyone really think that running Linux on custom Apple hardware is actually going to make things _better_?

As a heavy plex user, I can't imagine using it as my default music player. CX isn't great for music, IMO.

Yeah, but they are still people who are responding to a page, working on wording and getting it approved, and then updating. 20 minutes seems pretty reasonable to me.

I used to live in Seattle and a personal scooter is where it's at. Plus, it's impossible to look like more of a dweeb than the tech people riding electric unicycles. It's great for 8 months of the year at least.

HN often reminds me of that article about how a majority of what you read on the internet is written by insane people.

What does the cronjob do? Start some service that listens for inbound connections? Or are you talking more about daemons that do some set of work every interval?

Sometimes buying makes sense as well. The NY Times has a good calculator for this. In my case, rent is so expensive in my city that buying and building equity was higher EV than keeping my cash in investments. YMMV.

Will it? I didn't know that rpi had any HW support for AV1. Last I checked, there wasn't any player capable of doing HDR10 HEVC either, but maybe that has changed. I like the rpi but I don't think its as capable as people are

Functional fanatics are totally the kind of people who seek out teams or spaces for a specific language. I stay away from those people, not going to lie.

I've heard (but don't have any actual evidence more than hearsay) that Twitch generally operates independently of Amazon/AWS. I'm sure that they share some things, but I wouldn't be surprised if their source was sep

It's still the same, 2fa. With a Yubikey, you need to use your password to log in to your computer, and then need to auth using Yubikey. With OTP app, you need to use your password to log into your computer, passcode for phone, and the

I feel like once you have it pulled downm, it would be as simple as an upload to s3 (which wouldn't trigger any flags), then making the bucket public whenever you want. Hell, S3 used to (still does?) support being part of a torrent swa

I disagree here. The first example is much more self-describing and follows the same paradigm that the rest of the AWS CLI already follows. I'd prefer erbosity here rather than the AWS CLI trying to figure out what I'm doing.

What does this mean? Hasn't Tesla been selling FSD beta for like 5 years now? I don't really trust anything Elon says anymore. I feel like he's not followed through on commitments about FSD far too many times. I'd person

Seems like it depends on the city and state. I have symmetric gigabit backed by fiber in a suburb, and most of my friends out in the boonies have the same. I dream of a world where symmetric 100 is $30/mo everywhere though!
