Check out LifeStraws (and similar devices) if you have concerns about being able to store enough water for a crisis.

There are many emergency food options that can work for people in even the smallest studio apartment. For example, here is a 30 day supply of non-perishable food that fits into an 8.5 gallon bucket: https://www.amazon.com/Au

Yes absolutely. Don't count on any utilities functioning. There are many long-term water storage solutions. The simplest is a large package of bottled water. Also I highly recommended supplementing your water supply with a LifeStraw or

I strongly encourage everyone to stock non-perishable food, drinking water and whatever supplies needed to survive at least a month as a matter of course.

Many of the studies you read about in your intro Psychology textbook cannot be reproduced: https://replicationindex.com/2018/12/21/social-psychology-te... It really is quite shocking. Having grown up learning

Outstanding comment. The unwillingness to acknowledge that intelligence is genetic (as are many psychological attributes) has completely neutered any meaningful discussion on a variety of very important issues.

I don't follow the Clooney example. Wouldn't he still look more or less the same if he had become a pickle salesmen rather than an actor?

>The US skims some of the best students and programmers from around the world, but also people who are equivalent but cheaper, and also indentured. Exactly. The latter needs to be shut off.

"entitled brats" in this case being people who don't want to live in third-world conditions. These other countries are free to try and improve their conditions. Trying to drag us down to their level is pathetic.

You realize the companies that push that line don't actually believe it themselves, right? I always suffer a bit of second-hand embarrassment when others earnestly accept such crude propaganda. It's all about protecting access to

There is a faction of oligarchs in this country who want to saturate the labor market for their own benefit. This is merely propaganda on their behalf.

Yep. If they don't want US workers, it seems the logical thing to do would be to move the business out of the US.

It is wildly disingenuous to try and pass off being deplatformed as an on/off switch. There are many degrees to which one could be deplatformed, and sadly a segment of the sclerotic left have decided to use it as a political tool to sq
