The author is expecting that all 54k fans should see the page's posts, and that fewer impressions are feeling like extortion. That expectation is both incorrect and unreasonable. There will always be users who don't log in each day. Even if

If you're posting 10-16 posts a day and you forcibly put each of these into 100% of your fans, you're going to shrink your base. If you did that to me, I'm going to hide or Unlike your page. If you emailed me those posts, I'd be hitting uns

The guys selling umbrellas on the street are not creating a brand -- they're direct response advertising. As you mentioned, they're anonymous and disappear when you don't need them. Brand is different. I don't turn on the TV when I'm ready

Good question, but the medium has changed. That's a media invitation card, that is guaranteed to be carried by online tech sites, but we'll likely never see in Mad Man era TV or print.

Great to see. But the headline is misleading. There's some cost savings from software licensing, but it appears that the real savings is the transition from in-person services to web services. The article below cites how the "Digital by Def

This is happening because the promoted post is for a giveaway. A lot of incoming traffic can happen when you do a giveaway because freebie/contest blogs all cross-post it, and you can get a surprising amount of traffic if the prize is juicy

The major difference is ad load. Watch a 1-hour show on Hulu, and you'll see that the content is typically ~42 minutes long. Which means that on-air, it's 18 minutes of ads that fill the balance. But online is showing way less ads than 18 m
