I was wondering why the new interface got sluggish after a while, I just figured it was at the expense of loading so much data at once, but even then it seemed odd. Glad Twitter is active in trying to keep it's interface fast, though I wond

Did you see how many different applications have to be installed just to make this work? Unless you have no clue what is happening and don't pay attention to what you are installing, this won't be an issue. The only way they could install a

I have been using Sammy.js ( http://code.quirkey.com/sammy/ ) for a few weeks now, and I have to say that it really accomplishes "Complex Web Apps Made Simple" but in a flexible way. There are many template engines out there, from Haml to J

The Nexus One may not match the hardware specs of some of the newer phones, but that doesn't mean it is out of the game. My Nexus One is still fast and powerful, and outside of that one Unreal Engine 3 game, has no problems with any app. So

I was wondering when something like this would be released. Well at least in an easy to use way that supports the Twitter ecosystem. I remember having long active discussions in #gamedesign and we found out how Twitter was not built for any

I have been wondering that for a while; why isn't there a conditional permissions system that you can choose what gets shared or not. It wouldn't be that hard for app developers to sanity check for what is available or not, and tell the use

I played around with this and got it so you can both highlight and have it move the view to the paragraph of choice. Seems pretty interesting. An issue with it though, when sending the link to someone, and then they click it, browsers (Chro

While I see the logic behind this, I really think it is flawed. Just because Groupon is growing faster than Google did doesn't mean it has a chance to match Google's total growth. One important thing you left out is timing. When Google star

I love slow motion video, always fascinating. I get what they are trying to show here, but I would rather see an actual train breaking and some way to show the energy that comes from that process. On a side note, I always wondered why train

Unless they blatantly broke the law in some provable way, probably nothing. Though as with the guy in this case, he can sue the State/City for wrongful imprisonment and other issues.

This is a great story of someone fighting against oppressive forces to gain his freedom. I really hope he wins his lawsuit against them, this being one of those cases where he really deserves something for the time lost. As an aside, I can

Nothing against WP7 but I think if this were true, Nokia would be digging themselves another hole. Well they may not fall because of WP7 but I just don't see it giving them a chance to become a super start handset maker they once were. If t

No it is just apart of their network, if you are in the area that has it, you get it for free if your phone supports it. As far as support, I agree it is an issue but not one for me. I love my Nexus One and have had no issues, but then agai

I took a peek through the site and I really don't see a way to scrape everything, or even most stuff off of their site. You can get the 200 pages of the most recent bookmarks for any particular tag, but that seems to be about it.

This is actually a great idea. It is a glorified link sharing service, but the simplicity is nice. Zed is a smart guy, and I applaud his offbeat approaches to things. I have already linked this to a few artist friends so they can use it.

I really don't see the need for something like this. We have instant messaging, SMS, Twitter, and so on for this functionality. I think it would be better served to make instant messaging more universal and have less boundaries.

I would just make it a lighter shade, but not as light as a <= 0 score comment. Those happen to be hard to read. Maybe you could give the option for the user to set their own CSS values for read and unread.

I am disappointed that they left off Javascript. Not that I ultimately care what religion would be analogous to JS, but it was an entertaining read and accurate on a lot of counts. What religion would JS be closest to?

I like the idea of this, but I find the red outline to be jarring and well quite frankly ugly. I think a more visually pleasing way of showing new vs old comments would be to make the text of old comments a light shade of grey, and the new
