I'm curious: What could another viable business model be for a search engine? Back in the days of something like the yellow pages, it was also an advertising supported model (or pay-for-placement, something that might damage the credibility

I've had decent sucess with pandoc ( http://johnmacfarlane.net/pandoc/ ). MutiMarkdown also allows you to put raw LaTeX inline if you specify the right flags.
