Beautifully said. I was appalled to realize the shallowness of the author’s methods. Then upon this sandpit they attempt to construct the un-caveated thesis: “Napoleon is the best general ever”. Is WAR even useful for comparing agents with

Yeah. I think the creator could have benefited from posting more documentation, videos, and examples of what this thing really looks like in practice. When the documentation is so sparse it begins to feel a little like vaporware.

“Western problem” yikes. To write off the economic successes of the west under the guise of “problem” with western culture is deeply problematic. If you were to use this tableau to jump into an argument against societies that are captilisti

You actually make a really interesting point here. Advertising has permeated nearly every segment of media consumption. An interesting example is articles like this, and “reviews” of products that are actually paid adverts where the “review

A great book on the subject of the decline of Western superiority is “Has the West Lost it?” by Mahbubani [1]. He gives a fantastic overview of the stalling of the West following the confirmation of the allegeded superiority of the West’s “

I think it’s this very consistency that make using the JetBrains family of IDEs so painless. The power-user keybindings are equivalent across all of their products. The standardization make picking up a new language the hardest part about a

I am not being sarcastic. I lived in Shanghai from June of 2017 --> January of 2018 and the pictures you see in that photoset are truly remarkable and thoroughly unrepresentative of the situation on the ground. There are certainly some s

The final video [1] has a pretty compelling argument for the conversion to self-driving cars happening quicker than expected: Chen shows a picture of Easter morning in NYC in 1900 and asks the viewer to play "Where is the car?". A

It would force the organization to its knees in my opinion. Unions for work in showbiz are ridiculous in that they restrict people to members of a specific union; e.g. All adjustments to an actor'a appearance must be done by the approp
