'git add -i' can also be very helpful. This is my preferred tool for staging files to commit.

There are some numbers available on Wikipedia[0]. Comparing with Windows is especially difficult though, because there is no differentiation between the kernel and graphical systems or system tools. [0] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Source_

Yes, there is WSGI which Rack is roughly based on. WSGI 1.0, PEP-333: http://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0333/ WSGI 1.0.1, PEP-3333: http://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-3333/

As a frequent WhatsApp user I don't find this amusing at all. If this is how the engineers handle security issues, it might be time to convince my friends to switch to another messenger. It's not like there was no competition in that field.

I can't believe that this is still common practice in some large-scale businesses. In my imagination of a perfect world I would never get in touch with a user's plain text password at all.

It feels very fast and I really enjoy the color scheme. One thing I noticed: On small resolutions the top navigation bar wraps.

I ran into the same issue. If you want to purge all data from an app, it's much cheaper (and sometimes even faster) to start over and create a complete new app with an empty data store than to use the data store admin and delete the data fr

Why don't just link to the original source instead? I don't see how Slashdot adds anything to the article. http://www.webupd8.org/2011/12/cinnamon-gnome-shell-fork-wit...

That's what I thought of. The model of Intents is also a lot more powerful than simple web links, but Web Intents[0] are already on their way to fix that. [0] http://webintents.org/

Some users are even asking for a way to enable Adblock Plus on some websites only. I'd actually use a blacklisting mode for ABP where I could use the regular lists, but only for selected websites.

This is great news. I really hate to see companies charging for SSL, though. Security on the web is something so essential, forcing people to pay in order to be safe is just evil, in my opinion.

I'd rather like to see Chrome and its features getting more tightly integrated with Android. If one could use the Chrome Web Store from an Android tablet, there wouldn't be much left that Chrome OS does better.
