You not to know I'm hiding anything at all.

Everything but actually bringing it to public attention.

It's so strange to me that people describe things like higher order functions and map/filter/reduce as being clever / complicated and think manual iteration and indexing into an array is "simple". I hate to keep linking to this talk because

What things about lisp in particular? I want to say no but I'm not sure I'm clear on what you're asking.

It's probably true of any forum where people hang out because they're passionate about their profession.

I do. Maybe one slot for something outrageous like 500k+ would be interesting, but I like that it's so granular personally.

I feel like people probably said this same sort of thing about making fires or washing clothes by hand. Cutting on sleep is bad I agree, but cooking doesn't feel like something worth thinking about on a regular basis.

Do you have any idea what you just tried to play?

That's a pretty big leap of faith assumption though. Does anyone have a source or a revolver?

He only started giving away money and doing good once he was absurdly wealthy and had financial freedom. How does working a normal full time job do more good for the world than freelancing and pursing your own interests?

Yes, buy an acre of land and start farming, problem solved. Quit your jobs and move to a more expensive area, problem solved. Cook over an open fire made from scrap wood in your apartment, problem solved.

Do people just downvote sarcasm or are people just not recognizing it? Thought this was hilarious.

Sounds like you're not being outspoken to me if you're censoring yourself because you know it'll be public.

That's how I felt about it before I started using it. If it's more than just startup time holding you back, I'd give it a shot.

Sure, but it's enough to make me avoid Ubuntu all together on principle.

For what it's worth, I found a job in SF as a rails developer while living in a small town in Georgia via the site mentioned in the article, Developer Auction, and it was a great experience.

Isn't that the whole problem though, that the CFAA is being used to put assholes and activists in jail? If he got arrested for fake calls to CPS or something, I could agree with it perhaps, but I'm not at all comfortable with him going to

I always thought I'd never buy another non-thinkpad due to the workflow of using the trackpoint + trackpoint buttons (ultranav). Who knows now with the way things are going. Seems odd to get rid of your distinctive features, I'd much rath
