I'm looking for a place/roommates in SF at the moment, I feel like I've seen other posts like this before. Maybe there should be a regular housing thread or spinoff site or something with so many of us trying to live in the same few areas.

I'm very happy with Hiccup, I think both paradigms are better than the more common ERB style templating. Either pure Clojure (or whateverlanguage) or pure HTML rather than a mix. I wish Clojure had a batteries included framework like this

Is there any chance of you ever doing your compilers class on Coursera or just posting videos of the lectures online somewhere? Your blog posts are great, I'd love to be able to see the lectures as well.

That invariable seems absurd to me. It seems much more inevitable to me that we eventually will be able to eliminate the majority of jobs. Is that not the goal? A transitory period where unemployment slowly increases is going to happen a

It depends how you define better I suppose. I think they're both very readable, but I'm very willing to give up a little terseness for the benefits of a simpler syntax, immutable datastructures, and the kind of flexibility that lets you wr

Here are some benchmarks (that I'm not really fit to judge the quality of) that have been going around the Clojure mailing list for comparison: https://github.com/ptaoussanis/clojure-web-server-benchmarks

I think there's a big difference between killing someone and threatening to do so. Though I also think it's entirely possible to kill someone and regret it and not do it again. I think recidivism is high due to ridiculously long sentences,
