I dislike redux-thunk, because it breaks serialisability. I don't know redux-saga, but this is my way of doing it: Create a data-structure like "running requests" in your state and put a serializable object in, could be compl

Yes, it's the new windows. I think some things like replacing bitfields with Enums could maybe be done transparently with a little ART modification.

I agree, that's why I don't use fragments at all and do all my multithreading in the way of communicating sequential processes: via BlockingQueue communication to hand-written background threads / services. The trick with And

I think redux got 50% right and 50% wrong. 1. good: having a sideeffect-free, serializable application state. That concept can also be used in mobile apps for easy pause/resume. 2. good: being able to render that state from one parent,

Be your preference as it may, I certainly did not "shit on factory work" when I said that assembly lines aren't creative endeavours. My knowledge about this comes from a befriended work-psychologist who worked with both, offi

Best workplace for creative work like programming is a room for yourself. The shared office concept was a mistake inspired by assembly lines. Sharing space with coworkers is good in factories because work is often dull and workers can talk

I love Leaflet (and contributed quite a bit over the years). The layer architecture can be easily combined with React. Just write react-components for the layers, shapes, or markers and use React's lifecycle-hooks to add/remove th

My take: I try to write it DRY first. If I fail to come up with a good intuitive abstraction after half an hour, I just write it simple and copy code. The next day or later I come back to the code and sometimes I find a neat abstraction the
