Nothing says we’re the good guys like “we’ll do whatever it takes to sandbag our competitors.” Of course, we’re the benevolent ones who will only use this tool for wealth and prosperity.

At this point it looks to me like something is seriously broken internally at AMD resulting in their software stack being lacklustre. They’ve had a lot of time to talk to customers about their problems and spin up new teams, but as far as I

Something adjacent to what I do now I guess. AI will need humans to run its datacenters, maintain its hardware, design its chips for the foreseeable future. I'd like to think that I have the intellectual ability to pivot into something

Wasn't the point of passkeys that they aren't exportable and are device/hardware-bound? If you can export your passkey and use it on another device then it's just an autogenerated password, no?

The most plausible scenario is that the aliens came to Earth, took the form of humans, worked their way up into the higher echelons of government, then spread FUD to obfuscate their existence.

Forget Linux containers on Mac, as far as I’m concerned that’s already a solved problem. What about Mac containers? We still don’t have a way to run a macOS app with its own process namespace/filesystem in 2025. And with all this AI st

And if you say no, make plans for next time. As a Gen Z I’ve noticed a lot of people my age will always decline, never take initiative in making plans, then wonder why nobody hangs out with them. I’ve started using what I call the ‘two stri

Lot of people using ChatGPT as a therapist. I tried it but it was too sycophantic.

Snowdon, in his biography, recalls working with other 20-somethings in his work at the NSA. They abused their access egregiously. They were looking at people’s nudes and stuff.

Not that it makes it any better but I wouldn’t be surprised if the NSA had a beam splitter siphoning off every byte going to OpenAI already. Don’t send sensitive data.

This was submitted 4 hours ago and has 8 points. The last submission maxed out at 2 points. I think the lukewarm reception says it all - I don’t really understand this product. It’s a shared Copilot chat? It feels like their strategy is to

Meh. Zed agent with my ordinary GitHub Copilot license works fine. Don’t see why I would pay an extra $180. Shallow ROI analyses don’t really tempt me.

Could you briefly explain your workflow? I use Zed’s agent mode and I don’t really understand how people are doing it purely through the CLI. How do you get a decent workflow where you can approve individual hunks? Aren’t you missing out on

I hope social media is flooded with this kind of content that sows doubt about authenticity. It’s the only shot we have at training people that seeing is no longer believing. If we don’t educate the masses about this now, particularly the o

I don’t get it - why not just tie the ticket to a name and address at time of purchase? Then verify that matches the person using government issued ID upon entry?
