Not that I've tried it, but dual 30" seems like it'd be a bit much for me. Or the OP's dream 50". There's only so much you can focus on at a time, and only so far you can turn your head to change focus, though

They obviously want signups at all costs, but I can't see where they monetize these signups that makes it worth degrading the user experience. Signup numbers for VC investment, then eventual advertising?

That was supposed to be how it worked in the US, at least in the late 90s/early 00s - phone (and cable too, I think?) telco network operators were legally obligated to let other ISP companies lease their lines and deliver service to cu

Exactly, half the price of a Nexus 5 with way better than half the performance. At this price point, I'll be buying a Moto G just for the hell of it - much like I bought the original Optimus V. As far as the 4, I think they stopped man

Sure vB is crap... and then you look at the other options out there and realize they're even worse. Especially 5-10 years ago when many of the sites using vB started using it. It's wildly successful - at least in the niche I'

I browse in a 1050x1680 side monitor, and you seem to be assuming minimum 1280w - about 20% of the page is scrolled off the side. I can't remember the last time I saw a horizontal scroll bar on a page. You ought to think about whether you c

Not sure if $14K/year is for where you went, but that's on the low side. You can do 30K, 40K, 50K+/year at private schools without trying very hard.

I take it you're not familiar with the blog - Joel always used random photographs he'd taken, for no other reason than to break up the text and make it more readable. I think he wrote about it once.

Copyright law can absolutely hinge on technical specifics. Look at network DVR services being forced to store a copy of a show per user in order to be found legal in the US.

Hasn't Dvorak been pretty thoroughly debunked as far as claims of speed? [1] is only the first google result, I can recall seeing quite a few articles on HN. Dvorak is more unicycle than bicycle. [1] http://reason.com/archives/1996/06/01/t

SquareEnix already has remakes of I-IV on DS which are probably reasonably readily portable to iOS/Android; they've already released III and I on Android. You can probably expect to see II and IV on Android within a year if they continue to
