I like what this guy is doing :) I've personally stopped buying any game that is a port just because of past experiences lol. Also it's probably us PC gamers who have certain standards that are more demanding than consoles. An exa

This is a really interesting article, I love reading about game networking. Hard to find many resources on this type of stuff... the 'Age of Empires' Gamasutra one is awesome too. We used Apple's Game Center API for the onlin

Haha sorry my bad, that is definitely true, but I meant the sound of that era, not boy-bands in general.

I agree with this, but I guess many Asian websites do feel like they're stuck in a 1998 trend. Actually this also seems to apply to music too... when I hear my Taiwanese friends' music, it seems like it still hasn't escaped b

I'm guessing Canada (my country) would be one of them. But our population is roughly 10% that of the US's.

Haha that zone totally came to my mind too. It's actually quite cool how many different types of zones Blizzard has made in that game... I wonder if they'll ever run out of ecosystems.

In my day we didn't need emoticons to say how we felt! (sorry, had to make this joke) But that's really cool heh, and so are the Shakespeare ones.

Totally. I find it's especially true for UX or animation stuff. Like you get the whole application working and then animations need to be put in, but those end up causing issues with states/transitions and smoothness, which take a

Actually you have my support for going manual. I still prefer to do all my projects without ARC (and I'm not old-school, unless 2009 is old-school). I just feel dirty everytime I use ARC, like I'm being sloppy haha. It also hides

I didn't see Taiwan on the map by the way, but yeah it's a joke amongst my Taiwanese friends that you're not a true Taiwanese unless your browser homepage is http://tw.yahoo.com/

We got rid of the penny in Canada. Seemed pretty painless lol. Everything is rounded to 5 cents now. Also, I think we're a lot more guilty of changing our money's 'look' lol. USD looks quite old in comparison.

Haven't tried CS:GO, but do you think it's related to being on console + PC? Coming from HL/HL2/CS, the controls are very very tight, but over the last few years it seems like most games are always xbox+ps3+pc and they n

As a Canadian, that's what I've heard too. Netflix Canada = sucks. Not that I personally like streaming anyway... but the piracy problem is a tough one because it's so quick and easy, but is not always reliable nor safe (and

I agree with this. I also believe removing the AH doesn't solve the problems with D3. It's D3's item/stat/skill systems that lead to the issues with the AH. Everyone was desiring the same items (using their class&#x

It's probably going to be like the processor wars. It'll keep going up until they reach a peak and then it'll switch to multi-cores (or in this case, expanding the number of bits). But you definitely have my vote right now!
