Ditto. Also, assuming it's 51 years, that generally means I have nothing to worry about with an iPhone or (new) MacBook, right?

I agree, the crank is really cool! On the subject of DIY cameras, I always thought this guy had such a cool post: http://www.collection-appareils.fr/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=37... ... making a film SLR from scratch basic

Funny that you mention the earn-little-spend-little 25 year old lifestyle... I'm currently living that lol (though contract work here and there has given me a decent amount of money). I find myself fighting between that happy/rela

That is one of the cool things about 'film' I should add... large format film has a crazy large megapixel equivalent. This guy's blog post has some interesting information about it: http://genotypewritings.blogspot

100% agreed, especially with regards to Youtube. I personally haven't gotten into Hulu/Netflix... I think a community driven approach like Youtube is ultimately the best approach. But Youtube is just being squandered by copyright

Like ibogost said, it seems to be more of the little things with Apple. One random example that affected me (somewhere around iOS 5) was modal views not being able to pop themselves anymore via parent (ie [self.parentviewcontroller popViewC

I sit here in Canada on my moose, watching with my binoculars at the craziness unfolding below me (USA) and across from me (UK). I whisper to the other 5 people that live in Canada, "Do you think they see us?" One person responds,

On a related note, I feel like this issue (non-retina, retina, iphone 5 version, ipad version, older iOS support, etc) and the over-saturated app store have really stifled the indie development world. It takes a lot more effort to make a ni

I am personally not a huge fan of streaming, I'd prefer to just pay a decent price per movie (not $30 like Blurays) and get a nice HD file with no DRM, no ads, and freedom to do whatever I want with the file (like iTunes music I guess?

Very true so far for us. Our iPad game got a really nice review on the Canadian show 'Reviews on the Run', and that day I think we had only a handful of Canadian downloads (and American). Nothing out of the norm heh.

I think we have a mental image of crappy VHS-esque images and whatnot (from that time)... but if people actually went back and scanned film images with good modern scanners, you'd have some awesome quality stuff. I'd say resolutio

This case might just be a thing with random matchmaking too. In my times playing Counter-Strike (and Source), you'd frequently be playing on the same server, and so a community would build; everyone was generally very cool to both girl
