It was clear that Nirvana had something before Nevermind - when the album blew up they were on an Australian tour at the time, Ken West brought them out to support the Violent Femmes at the Big Day Out. If you're touring international

It's a weird bit of asymmetry to the husband-of-queen title being decided on an adhoc basis... The asymmetry derives from an asymmetry in the titles themselves: the title "King" outranks the title "Queen", rather

Yes - these are necessary in houses designed to minimise air leakage, because without them they can end up so well sealed that they do not allow enough air changes per hour.

Australian prices have to include 10% GST (sales tax), so the Australian price is probably actually a little cheaper.

Sure, but the cost to Tesla was one car, one camera, one video transmitter and probably the most expensive part, a license for David Bowie's Starman. Perhaps that's "significantly more costly than the vast majority of ad cam

Japan manages to run on LNG imports. If Germany had the import infrastructure and started waving it's chequebook around, the ships would come.

The grid is always managed such that any single plant or transmission line can trip at any time without causing voltage or frequency collapse. Clouds going over your solar farm is like the plant tripping but not as bad.

Not sure how much it matters, but I suspect that lots of wires would be required. Sure - the model scales up existing wind and solar generation assets, so you would need transmission infrastructure to those same areas to scale up as well

It says this: Eleven months later, and new CIA research shows the pipeline of proposed storage has grown enormously, to over 26 GW of announced projects. The individually enumerated projects in that article appear to be only a subset of t

A new east-west interconnector is in progress: https://www.projectenergyconnect.com.au/ In general though, BESS & overbuild seems to be working out cheaper than very long interconnectors.

That's the whole point of what the author did. He didn't model putting solar out in the Western Desert or something - he scaled up the existing wind and solar generation on the NEM, implying more generation in the places wher

120 GWh is not what most would describe as "little storage". The largest hydroelectric storage facilities in existence are in the single digit or low double digit GWh. And this is for a country with a relatively small population.

The US also has their population spread out a bit more (and therefore their load centres closer to potential generation sites) - Australia actually has a higher urban population % than the USA.

The article mentions 300MW, which is a large connection to be sure but not unheard of. At that size it would be a scheduled load, like the pumps at a pumped hydro station or the potlines at an aluminium smelter.

This is right - the whole point with money laundering is to have a legitimate business where extra money can come in, apparently from real but untraceable customers, that is really dirty money you control.
