This might get me some shit but running away like that isn't a good trait to have. Not for Microsoft, but also not for themselves. This will probably be in the back of their mind for a chunk of their career since they have no closure.

The difference here is that the developer of RefTerm is an experienced, professional developer passionate about his craft and building good software. Microsoft is a faceless entity composed of people who mostly don't care about what th

Sure, I can acknowledge that the software should have reacted here, but so should've the driver. The driver is responsible for the vehicle and Tesla are clear about this. I don't think it's valid to blame inattentiveness on A

I agree with you, but Tesla are very clear that the person in the driver's seat is 100% responsible for the vehicle when Autopilot is active. Until the law catches up with innovation, that will continue to be the case. Most planes toda

The idea that some people will not use their knowledge to game the system is absurd. I know there's ways of tracking down people via trading patterns but what's to stop an insider selling information to someone completely untied t

I don't get it, is the person advocating against using Autopilot then? What do they want Tesla do actually do? You can't have it both ways - can't pin it on Autopilot for making you less attentive and then continue using it o

I would imagine it's too costly. We have thousands and thousands of machines and we're really not willing to pay anything to solve this, as nice as Tailscale would be. Frustratingly there's no real "Enterprise" plan

Anyone know of good tools for using WireGuard in large server fleets? I'm currently trying to pitch an alternative to OpenVPN at work, paid solutions being pretty much out of the question. ZeroTier (w/ open license network control

Yep, I donate a little bit to the GrapheneOS project. It's nothing given how much I benefit from it and how much money I save versus being in the Apple ecosystem like I used to be.

Wireless just doesn't matter much to me, even without a wire pulley system. Just letting it hang has always been fine and I suspect a lot of Index users would agree with me. The tradeoffs to go wireless aren't worth it at all eith

Sounds good but as far as I'm concerned, Oculus is still hot with the radioactivity of Facebook. I have no interest in giving them direct access to a device I put on my head. As soon as they announced the account merging I sold my Rift

I am somewhat scared of this mRNA/fancy biotech stuff. We are really playing with fire and I dread to think what happens if we screw up. I don't think the way we test this stuff is sufficient. We need some kind of simulated unit t

On your last point, I have a similar problem. I'd like to use WireGuard in a large fleet but the authentication/encryption is just too barebones. You have to generate a keypair for each host and then add that public key to a file
