There’s something wrong with being a terrible member of the community because you feel entitled to it. Which is what you’re doing.

Given how wrong the rest of the comment was, confusing mail client and mail server seemed like small potatoes. Especially when it can be argued that mail flows through the client if you squint a bit.

I love how out-of-touch HN comments can be sometimes, it’s a breath of fresh air for me. Outlook the mail software (as opposed to the coat of paint applied to hotmail) is used by almost the entire Fortune 500, basically every government at

> you all are thick and dull because you never think genetics matter This is uncalled for and untrue. There are a lot of human nutrition studies which account for genetics. It sounds like you’re angry, you should think about why that is

Congratulations, you’ve now signed up to audit a genuine morass of a code base. It’s full of terribly written JavaScript hacked together by people who more or less know how to write a class. But hey, at least you can read the code.

Not reliably. There are people whose setup more or less works and they’re super loud about how everyone is wrong about the bugs, but a quick google will show you a giant army of people who have issues with it.

What about what they described makes you think they’re not in control? It’s the same principle as a mercury switch thermostat; figure out what you want the system to do and then automate it so you don’t have to constantly screw with it.

It’s just that you don’t think about all of the ones you already use. Elevators are the classic example here, or a washing machine.

Android and iOS both have the ability to have smart home controls in the notification shade/control center. Both also allow them to be used when the device is locked.

You think that she became an American citizen and referred to herself as an American actress but didn’t think of herself as an American? The part we’re adding to how she described herself is Austrian, not American.

Good news then, that’s what they did. You get a $36/year discount for not getting ad free movies and a $120/year discount for not getting music.

Of course they are, don’t be so helpless. Getting good beans vs Starbucks is trivial. You’re obviously not limited to local roasters, google “specialty coffee delivery”, it needs to rest for around a week anyway. As is getting filtered wate

Bug bounty programs are a nightmare to run. For every real bug reported you’ll get thousands of nikto pdfs with CRITICAL in big red scare letters all over them. Then you’ll get dragged on twitter constantly for not being serious about secur

Encryption bugs are fundamentally different than other exploits; if I send traffic protected by encryption then it needs to remain encrypted as long as the information needs to be secret. With national security that can be decades.

Not really, almost everything else matters more. Bean quality and water quality in particular are at the top of the list. Good beans bad grinder > bad beans good grinder. The grinder is the last place to look, even though it does matter.
